It's time to pick a new England manager maybe this time we can get one with experience.

It would be great to see a manager with Jose Mourinho's man management skills banging some heads together but I think a national team should be a national team, including the manager. Come on FIFA this should be in the rules.

Roy Hodgson has just quit as manager of Finland so I've added him to the poll.
He has also been linked with the Scotland and Republic of Ireland jobs

After adamantly denying he was using the England job to increase his value and publicly saying through his agent he would consider an offer from the FA, Jose Mourinho has now said he doesn’t want the job. Oh and he’s been offered a mega deal in Spain or Italy.
I wonder how many of the contenders will go the same way.

Fabio Capello is now being touted as the next England manager, the media are talking up his great record of titles in Italy and Spain. I’ve listed his achievements below but from what I can see, apart from Real Madrid he’s won nothing since the 90’s with Milan. He has also been involved in unrest at all his clubs since leaving Milan. Maybe if we move Wembley to Milan Capello would be a good choice.

Milan: 4 Serie A titles remained unbeaten for 58 league games which included an entire season, UEFA Champions League and the European Super Cup.

Real Madrid: 1 Spanish league title.

Milan: nothing

Roma: 1 Scudetto title, Roma fans believe he sold several key players to sabotage the club.

Juventus: 2 Scudetto titles with a side that included 3 of the players he sold from Roma. Juventus were later stripped of the trophies due to involvement in the Italian match-fixing scandal.

Real Madrid: won La Liga.

Fabio Capello has been confired as the new England manager. He has signed a four-and-a-half year contract starting from January 7th 2008.
