Arshavin a laugh
A few years ago Arsene Wenger brought a very talented player that could run at defenders, twist and turn them inside out before putting the ball in the back of the net.
When Andrei Arshavin arrived at Arsenal the fans were excited to see a player that had caught the eye of many top clubs and chosen to wear the red and white. In his first season Arshavin was hailed as a great signing, a player with great composure, quick on his feet and an eye for goal.
Sadly this was the beginning of a decline to the point where we now have Gary Neville quoted as saying "He looks the most disinterested player in the league".
Arsense Wenger has been quoted as saying the "ex" playmaker's stats show he still has a very high work rate and gives a lot to the team.
While this may be true on paper, we all know a good book doesn't always make for a good film.Unregistered - 4 Weeks Ago - Comments

Arsene Wenger should remember that he brought Arshavin to the Emirates to score goals, and so should judge his performance by the number of goals he has scored, only then will he see that Arshavin is failling to fulfill his purpose at Arsenal. Arsenal was in need of goal getter in the game against Manchester United and Arshavin was and still is not the right person for that role. The bottom line is that Arshavin is lacking committment and Arsene Wenger is tolerating him.
