Arsenal's 5 year injury crisis
What's going on with player injuries at Arsenal FC? It is getting worse year on year. 3 broken legs in four years, Arshavin can no longer run, RoSicky just hangs around on his sofa waiting for a chance to play the ball backwards, Djourou only plays a handful of games (maybe it's in his contract), Vermaelen will probably get the award for least games played in an Arsenal shirt, Squillaci is he sick or just afraid to play, Wilshere (what were you thinking), Diaby another player with a 5 game a season contract.
Does Arsene Wenger buy the most injury prone footballers, is that what you get for doing your transfer dealings in the pound shop or is there something wrong with fitness management at the club.gooning down - 3rd October 2011 - Comments

arsenal need a propper clear out, at least 10 players could easly go and they wouldn't be any worse.Unregistered - 3rd October 2011 -
Maybe they need a proper clearout of the backroom staff as well

there used to be more talk about this ..............
When Arsenal got their Ashburton training ground (with astro pitches) it was noticed that there was an increase of injuries and noted back then that their might be a relationship between the new training pitches and their injuries.
The problem deffinately continues, but the talk about the relationship has subsided, I don't know why.
I play football in Hong Kong and we play a lot on artificial pitches. I'm certain that these pitches are more wear and tear on the players than a well kept grass pitch.hkcharlie - 7th January 2012
