The Premier League is run like a bad joke. How is it that the 'best league in the world', which is supposed to be a co-operative of 20 members can preside over the shameful demise of Portsmouth Football Club? There is no regulation of debt, no checks as to the financial solvency or suitability of so called 'fit and proper persons' (remember Thaksin Shinawatra?) and the continuation of the growing absurdity that the richest league in the world routinely turns a blind eye to the soaring debts of its members. The Premier League was born out of greed and will die from the consequences unless someone at the top experiences a chastening epiphany sooner than later. Hang your heads in shame!
