  1. England Boo Boys

I must admit I'm not a fan of Ashley Cole since he left Arsenal for Chelsea but the Wembley crowd booing him in the game against Kazakhstan was out of order. Yes he made a mistake and should have headed or kicked the ball out of touch but Rio Ferdinand didn't help by pointing to the keeper.

I don't remember fans booing at the old Wembley and wonder if it's because of the corporate seats and larger stadium that there are now a lot more spectators rather than real fans watching the game.

  3. I think many fans have lost patience with England under performing for so long. These players have to justify their own hype and enormous salaries their clubs pay them especially when playing for England, not least because playing for England boosts their pay-packet. If a player makes a basic mistake like Ashley Cole's pass back, why should there be sympathy for someone who is paid so much not to make mistakes like this, especially against inferior opposition. If England generally played well and to their supposed potential, then a few mistakes here and there would be easy to forgive.
Its like any job, if I performed below par at work for a long period like England have, I would not expect polite applause from anyone and I damn well wouldn't get it. Dont tell me a little bit of booing would dent the confidence of such a highly rated player, if so toughen up a bit mate and join the real world, at least you don't have to worry about where your next pay packet is coming from.
