Bristol City info George William Bignell

I have received the following email requesting information on George William Bignell who played for Bristol City in the 1900's.
If anyone has any info please let us know.

I am writing in regard to my grandfather, George William Bignell who played with Bristol City in the early 1900's. He was born in 1891.

I also was told he played a FA Cup game, played once for England against Ireland and played some time with Bristol Rovers but I am not really sure.

My grandfather emigrated to Australia in 1920 and his son Bob Bignell, who is my father, went on to represent Australia many times and captained the 1956 Melbourne Olympic team. My son, Luke Everingham, aged 22, now plays in the local Illawarra League.

I hope you can send any information you may have regarding my grandfather. I tried to email to Bristol City football club but had no success. I would appreciate their address if you cannot help me with information re: my grandfather.
