I haven't played these new versions but I would always choose PES over Fifa

Yep, always have been, sometimes I play PES but still, Fifa is my moto!

I'd say Fifa for skill PES for game and good old Sensible Soccer for all out fun

Another year another PES v FIFA match commences.

I've always been a PES fan myself, although now I'm getting older I don't play so much which really showed when I tried out the demo's for this years offerings and had to start PES 2009 in not regular or even armature but rubbish beginner mode.

Last years PES was a bit of a letdown so I've been anxiously waiting for this years realise not wanting to go another year without playing. To my pleasant surprise PES is back, I couldn't tell you what improvements they've made, it just plays like it should. Big thumbs up.

After having a go on FIFA's EURO 2008 I had to go play FIFA09 and see if they had made more improvements on the gameplay which almost tempted me to by the it.

As usual they've made great improvements to the graphics, they look stunning and I can't help wonder why PES, although improved cannot compete on this level. Gameplay, as I said I'm a PES fan so maybe I'm biased but I just don't like it, I feel like I'm not actually playing the game, there's to many decisions made for you so you cant play the way you want.

I will definitely be buying PES this year and may even get online to play a few games, PS3 if anyone's up for it.
