  1. Lower league salary

    Hi all,
please, can anybody write to me how much do the player earn in lower league - football league two, conference national, conference north and south, divisions and other lower league. Is there anybody who can help me and know something about it?
How about the training cycle in the lower leagues? how often do the players practise during the week?
    Thank for all replay

  4. Thank you Andy.
I am not sure you mean earnings per team or per player?

  5. I think some of the lower league players earn similar wages to an average job and in non-league football it could be as little as travel expenses or nothing at all.

  6. I remember some posh players talking about there wages in the pub a good few years ago and they were on a little bit more than the average salery.

  7. well i play for a club in the conference south. i am still in the academy and we train for at least 12 hours a week depending on how well the sessions go. not to sure what our first team's hours are like though but definatly more then us.

as for wages, whenever we ask our coaches what we will get paid if we get offered a cotract for the first team they just tell us to make sure we get there first but as they train more then 12 hours a week and play a match 1-2 times a week (which takes almost all day) they must be earning enough to get by as there wont be much time for another job.

  8. Can anyone tell me about the training schedules in non-league clubs? If you are not a pro footballer and have another job to hold down what is the schedule? Do you train in evenings? If so how many days a week? I'm writing a book about a non-league club and want to be accurate.

    Thanks

  9. It really depends what level you are at. Conference players can be full time but lower down the leagues you may only get travel expenses. I think at my clubs level which is Ryman Division north, 1 division away from the conference south, £100 a match can be paid.
As for training it is usually done a few times a week.
