Well, well. I agree on that. I'm sorry too, I'm Dutch, so my English isn't that good
! But, everyone thinks Dutch football is great and highclass, but it isn't actually. Ofcourse, there are reasons, but not from Holland, more the companies that mikapagis14 was talking about. Italian, Spanish and English clubs (or shall I say companies) have more money, and yes, with a lot of money and the best players, you get the best competition! unregistred - 10th November 2008 -
The Spanish leauge is still amazing...its focus is just different to the premier league! It's about individual skill and flair...but the way they go down after a tackle is just embarrassing. I really struggle to watch it. It's a contact sport, played by men! Grow up!
But all their clubs ave such a great culture of football around them. Such history and passion. It's why Barcelona are easily still playing some of the most beautiful football in the world.
But the Prem is more about tactics and speed. And you're are almost still allowed to make the odd tackle. Even though players like Keano probably wouldn't do to well nowadays. But because of it's focus on young players the focus of the Prem has become about speed.
The big clubs are businesses now though but as long as the fans that have been there since the beggining stay there that's all that matters.george bests last lover - 23rd December 2008 -

I'm from Spain and not so along we were at the same situation that the english football now is. We had the best teams in Europe and and a frustrating national team. Now is the turn for english football. But, for how long?
