Mark Schwarzer, Shay Given or Manuel Almunia

Fulham boss Mark Hughes is adamant goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer will not join Arsenal unless the deal suits the Cottagers and now Manuel Almunia has admitted he could be forced to leave Arsenal if Arsene Wenger brings in a new goalkeeper plus Shay Given's former teammate Warren Barton believes he could ask for a move to Arsenal if he stays on the bench at Man City.

Arsenal have not had a pair of safe hands between the sticks since David Seaman, do any of the keepers in the spotlight compare or should Wenger break the bank to bring in a real world class keeper.

I seem to have forgotten the teams - but I know most of you will recall the goal from the indirect within the area last week - as a result of the back-pass.

The only thing which concerns me is this: Many indirects are taken from odd places on the pitch - but no bid deal. The rules do however specify the location of the ball when in the area. The Ref simply dropped the ball - not expecting action. No one can verify if the ball was correctly positioned.

Ah yes it was Arsenal of course.

Gallas, Unrest at Arsenal

Gallas says a player in the team has caused others to come to him with complaints and that this player is 6 years younger than him. Robin Van Persie, Emmanuel Eboue, Eduardo and Bacary Sagna are all 6 years younger. Eduardo is out so it can't be him, Gallas also mentioned he broke up an argument during the Tottenham game and had a word with the player in question during another match but got insults in return.

Mikael Silvestre has signed for Arsenal, Wenger sees the 31 year old former France international adding experience to the centre of defence but also as cover for Gael Clichy.
Silvestre has dropped down the pecking order at Man United and has suffered with injury over the last two season's so not the usual Wenger signing. Wenger has a policy of one year contracts for players over 30 or has that changed, it would seem a bit strange to sign Silvestre for just one season.

ITV Champions League FC Twente v Arsenal on Setanta

What's going on? Why is ITV showing the Liverpool game on ITV1 and the Arsenal game on Setanta.
I thought ITV got the contract to show games on the free ITV channels, not on the Setanta pay channel.

why doesn't arsenal let go Gallas and use the 6mpd to get Lescote from Everton to pattern Toure Gallas is even above 30 now so that the complains cease and to make matters worse is paid highly and yet is never consistent

What's going on with Arsenal players, why do so many go to Barcelona? Yes Barcelona is a great club and a great city but if all those players that had stayed, Arsenal could have won a lot more trophies.

Oh by the way Hleb, yes London is a hectic, frantic even wild city but you get used to it and become stronger for it, you don't cry and make a laughing stock of yourself.
